Her love for the mountains eventually brought her to Summit County, where she taught snowboarding and ski patrolled, before venturing into the mental health world. Daria worked as a bilingual mental health navigator at FIRC before moving to this role, and is currently pursuing her Certified Addiction Technician certification. In her free time, you can find Daria mountain biking, skiing, traveling, making pottery or cooking with friends.

Sam is originally from the East Coast but has lived in Colorado on-and-off for about 10 years. Although she grew up in a beach town, she always leaned towards winter activities and colder weather. She enjoys snowboarding, spending time outside with her dog, adventuring to new places, and talking to strangers. Sam received her master’s degree in forensic psychology from Purdue University online. She is currently working as our High Fidelity Wraparound Facilitator and is also towards licensure for an LPCC and ADDC. Sam found a passion for mental health at a young age and started working in the field in 2018. She has previously worked with two substance use-focused companies before joining MHBHC. Sam is very interested in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and dream analysis, hoping to eventually provide these services to eligible clients. She loves to rabbit hole into deep conversations about random topics, so please say hello if you see her out and about!
Emily is originally from Boston Massachusetts but moved to Summit County in 2020. She is a recent graduate from the University of Denver where she received her MSW. Currently, Emilyis pursuing her clinical social work license. Emily has had a passion for the mental health world throughout her whole life, but this flame was really ignited when Emily began preschool teaching and was working with kids on social emotional learning. Emily decided that she wanted to do more than just teach and this motivated her to go back to school for social work. Before working at MHBHC, Emily completed a one-year internship at Women’s Recovery where she worked with women struggling with substance use. In her free time, you can find Emily running, skiing, mountain biking, and hanging out with her dog.
Ciara McCoy joined the MHBHC team in June of 2023 as their Program Manager and Clinical Supervisor. She has worked in the mental health field for the last ten years and has experience working in many different settings. Ciara worked and lived in the Denver Metro Area for five years before she moved to Summit County. During her time there, she worked in day treatment centers, residential facilities, community mental health centers, child advocacy centers, and did in-home child and family therapy. Ciara is from a smaller town in Idaho and wanted to return to her roots of a smaller community, so she moved to the mountains of Summit County in 2018. She started working for the Summit School District as an Elementary School Counselor, and then over the years moved into the role of the Day Treatment Therapist at the middle school and high school. Ciara is excited to continue to grow and support the mental health community here in Summit. In her spare time, Ciara loves to read, hike, fish, travel, snowshoe, and enjoy all the glory that this community has to offer.
